Name | Phosphorous acid chloride and phosphorus dichloride |
Synonyms | Phosphorous acid chloride and phosphorus dichloride |
Phosphoyl chloride is also an important organophosphorus pesticide intermediate, with the following structural general formula:
It is used to synthesize phosphoramide insecticides methyl thiocyclophosphate, ethyl thiocyclophosphate, etc., and can be reacted with alkali sulfide to obtain sulfur (alcohol) phosphate ester pesticide intermediate sulfur (alcohol) phosphate.
The preparation method is that phosphorus oxychloride reacts with alcohol to first generate phosphoryl dichloride, and the generated HCl can be removed by vacuum or nitrogen; further reaction with alcohol in the presence of alkali can obtain phosphoryl chloride.
For phosphoryl chloride containing two identical alkoxy groups, the method of chlorination of dialkyl phosphite is easier.
The corresponding phosphoryl chloride can also be obtained by reacting trialkyl phosphite with chlorine.
